where’s the fun in having the trolls just be trolls and the humans just be humans

the whole point of the trolls is to point out the different common characters on the internet right whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoah m y screen looks really far aaway but yeah y’got Karkat the ranter, Sollux the nerd, Aradia the goth, Tavros the wimp, Nepeta the roleplayer, Equius the creep, Eridan the Nice Guy/nerd etc. etc.

and the aliens in Star Trek are also supposed to repreestent certain aspects of human nature, such as the xenophobic, suspicious, backstabbing but ultimately passionate Romulans, the loud, gruff, drink-fight-fuck Klingons who follow a “strict” code of honour, the emotion-suppressing, logical, quiet but secretly volatile and traitorous (at least in ENT) Vulcans, the obviously snakelike but justice-guided and family-centred Cardassians, the greedy, untrustworthy, sexist but funny and friendly Ferengi and so on. You all know people who fit one of these descriptions more than the others (if you don’t, go out on the street) so whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy not fit the trolls into the discovered species of the Alpha and Beta quadrants (Delta and Gamma are still closed off for the Federation around TNG which is what I’m thinking of)

I mean I GET the whole BUT THEIR PLANET!! THEIR CULTURE!! but pls there are plenty of canon-abiding fics out there that expand upon what Hussie has given us, I want one that shows how they keep their traits as humans OOPS WAIT, THAT’S A THING, THAT’S A THING THAT HAPPENS A LOT, HUMANSTUCK, ISN’T IT
